Hi! I’m João (John), an Assistant Professor at ISPA with a PhD in social psychology. During my PhD I worked on how adults perceive children as a social category, but I became increasingly interested in connecting philosophy of science with research methods, and data analysis. That focus has carried forward into much of my research, teaching, and consulting work. It also led to my work developing tools for R, and reproducible open research.
