Hi! I’m João (John), an Assistant Professor at ISPA with a PhD in social psychology. During my PhD I worked on how adults perceive children as a social category, and along the way I became increasingly fascinated by how we connect philosophy of science with research methods, statistics, and data analysis. That interest has carried forward into much of my research, teaching, and consulting work, alongside reproducible research, R, and small open-source tools.
